The conference focus is on how architecture delivers capability to the warfighter. Tutorials, workshops and breakout sessions will address:
* how architecture is delivering capability today in joint and coalition mission areas,
* what policy and governance initiatives are helping drive architecture across the enterprise, and
* what education, training and certification architects need to develop success-oriented competency and career paths that enable enetrprise architect capabilities.
The conference will also provide:
* A framework for developing DoD EA Community and Industry partnership
* A forum for updates on policy and practices
* An opportunity to receive regular, cohesive feedback on OSD initiatives
* An opportunity for discussion of tools methods and best practices
* A partnership with industry to help make DoD architecture agile and effective
* A platform for developing and conducting focused workshos between annual conferences that help accelerate implementation of architectuer to suport cabability development
Participants will include senior leaders from DoD CIO, select Combatant Commands, Combat Support Agencies, Services, academia and industry.
The 2011 Defense Enterprise Architecture Award Program, in conjunction with the Conference, is now open for submissions. Log onto the conference web site for details on the process and schedule.
